Over the generations, millions of individuals have been experiencing discrimination in all certain types in various places. Varying from sexual and gender orientations, languages spoken where it eventually affects one’s fluency and accent, and the reality of transitioning from conservative culture to open countries. People may tend to accept and somehow adjust to these prejudices, shrugging off their feelings deep inside, I, the writer of this article, have experienced all of the stated dilemmas above first-hand and I was defined as “the other one” which is clearly unsettling for me. The first question that came to mind was, “Is this acceptance or disrespect?” thinking that I was just experiencing some culture shock as I was new to this place. But as I stepped out further of my comfort zone, it made me realize that the world is full of loaded negativity and stereotypes, a truth that leaves a bitter taste on my tongue. However as time passes by, individuals tend to act out the ethical judgments that were shrugged off by various factors and start to speak out the uncanny truth. As we dig further to the core of this article, we will be able to see that discrimination is a huge general barrier to millions of people. And allow me, to grab your attention, and together we will get to the real challenge lying beneath the global diversity of cultures.

Have you ever thought that if there is only one sexuality in the globe, will we all be treated the same thing? Misogyny vs. Feminism, what side are you my dear reader? People today are more sensitive to their sexual roles. For decades, people have assumed that women should accomplish things solely to maintain their feminism, whereas men ought to do hard work because they are created for it. A female should not cross the line, which implies she cannot do things that males do, and eventually, this affects women more. By this, they said that women should not engage in weightlifting, bulking up their bodies, working in handyman jobs, fixing and building things, and wearing suits and ties. Men should also not engage in extravagant colorful clothes, wearing make-up, getting their nails done, using the color pink, and showing femininity through talking and walking. Also, as our parents had said women should be at home cooking or caring for their spouse and kids. And that their man should not express their emotions, they must not be fragile, and must always treat things the hard and rough way, as they have said, real men, don’t cry. As this stereotypical thinking continues to be done, it then escalates into a gender clash resulting in never-ending debates. Women and men want equal treatment in various ways, regardless of who or what they are. Because that is how people wish to live, but sexual discrimination is far more active, to the point of being evaluated. Judging others because they don't adhere to traditional gender stereotypes, that's when problems arise.

There are several proofs of this global dilemma one is the Iranian soccer stadiums where they banned the entry of women since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, but some still allow women to enter but on a very minimal scale. This is because of the simple reason women look at a man’s body during games and that men have no freedom inside the stadium as some feminine eyes are locked on them. Next is located in Japan where women-only trains are implemented, this is to avoid women being uncomfortable and unsettled by sexual harassment or the possibility of being touched up by chikans (any act of unwanted public molestation to victims). Though this segregation is a solution for women in Japan, but causes confusion for travelers, and according to Japan’s statistics, it causes more crowds in rush hours as men are not allowed to hop on board, to protect women, this is kept implemented and said necessary. And lastly in the military where men are the only ones administered in frontline combat jobs for multiple decades. Many and even I wondered, why are women not applicable to military mandatory services, and according to Choi, there are various impediments that it can cause especially in Korea’s traditionally patriarchal society.

As sexual discrimination continues its role as one of the biggest problems globally, still multiple solutions can be put into effect. First is shifting our mindsets in order to completely understand the concept of gender roles and to know how human biases shape one’s toxic mindset that generates unnecessary and regretful decisions. Next is proper and concrete education can also be a key as it educates people that as the world evolves, so do we, and we have to accept that we are all human beings who require care, understanding, love, and acceptance by the world we step in. We also have to understand that in every different aspect or portion of the world, different groups need to be treated equally without judging or telling them that they should act as their sex is. Implementing anti-discrimination policies in certain customs can also be done as the law holds a powerful role in the society to follow. Just like any discrimination solution will do, respect and understanding will always be the main keys as these aspects are the greatest factors to contribute to the huge process of pulling out damaged and toxic roots in society. Lastly, for public access and awareness, social campaigns, and sexual orientations can be raised to spread awareness, knowledge, and sensitivity to individuals which can include both face-to-face campaigning and social campaigning. Though this move may be a huge step and a challenge as this requires a group, know that a group starts with one person, so start to raise, voice up, stand, and speak your powerful intentions as we are raised equal, and must end this crucial misogynistic and discriminatory place through peace and equality.

Being raised in the Philippines where it is strictly conservative, from clothes and even expressing love could raise the amount of judgments where eyes would lock on you and mouths whisper behind your ears. You see, this dilemma does not just talk about clothing, it talks about how you put your monitored and judged life in an open place without any judgment. Take the clothing preferences of Filipinos and Americans as an example. Filipinos tend to where as semi-formal as possible, especially in public places and if someone wears too fashionable enough for the stereotypical eyes to see, they will lock their eyes on you. There’s a little chance that they may be admiring your wardrobe reference, but you will know how many will start to judge you just by your looks. Compared to the majority of the American wardrobe choices, where going out in very short skirts and revealing tops are certainly fine but there are still some that can’t accept these types of fashion. In my own experience, parental opinions play a role in navigating these societal expectations. Before heading out, my parents often offer commentary on my chosen outfit, expressing concerns about its appropriateness. Their remarks, such as "Are you just wearing a bra?" or "Are you wearing something over that?" reflect the tension between individual expression and societal expectations. It underscores the broader challenges faced by women in a world that tends to prioritize policing their attire over promoting respect and equality. Despite this, I persist in wearing what makes me comfortable, including bralettes and see-through tops, as a small act of resistance against a culture that seeks to constrain personal expression based on gender.

Another example is when a reserved individual goes to a place that celebrates or has sensual and extraordinary traditions, norms, and cultures. One situation is when a foreigner who did not research well about the place that he or she is about to visit and later finds out that their cultures and traditions have sensual opacity to them. Take the Bedding ceremony in various European countries where a newlywed couple is put in a marital bed in front of their families, neighbors, relatives, and any other visitors as witnesses of their newly committed love contract. The next example is the sexual traditions and norms in Japan such as the used undergarment vending machine, the "no-pan kissa" of Osaka which clearly means no-panties cafe where waitresses wear maid outfits with short skirts and no undergarments, and the festival in this country is the Kanamara Matsuri or Festival of Steep Phallus where they celebrate male and female reproductive systems,

To solve this, adaptable dress codes and guidelines are framed to be broad and open-minded, avoiding rigid restrictions that may inadvertently marginalize certain groups. Instead, it emphasizes the importance of understanding and respecting the cultural significance of attire, allowing individuals to incorporate elements of their heritage into their clothing choices. This approach not only contributes to a more positive and inclusive atmosphere but also reflects an organizational commitment to valuing diversity. It promotes a sense of belonging among individuals, as they feel empowered to bring their authentic selves to the forefront without fear of judgment or exclusion. In this complex interplay between fashion, culture, and personal autonomy, the choice of clothing becomes a powerful tool for challenging societal norms and advocating for inclusivity and gender equality. It is a reminder that fashion extends beyond aesthetics, serving as a battleground for asserting individuality and dismantling the restrictive narratives imposed by society.

In line with this, the festivals, and norms in Japan or any other place, can bring such discomfort to others, especially for those reserved individuals, which is why we need to foster and generate understanding instead of seeing it as a problem. There are multiple ways to do this, researching first about the place we will visit for us to be aware and be prepared for their cultures. Next is seeking and connecting an open communication with locals, which can also make a way to clear up any misunderstandings as not all are seen and shared on the internet. Gradually immersing yourself bit by bit can also aid in understanding their culture and norms as experience is the best key to providing a sense of belongingness and cultural guidance not just from the but as a respectful traveler or individual. The most important thing is to respect their traditions and cultures, understand your way in for you to be acknowledged, and set a crucial amount of respectful boundaries that align with your personal comfort levels.

In today's globalized society, marked by incomparable connections and cultural interchange, the capacity to communicate across linguistic obstacles is critical for successful interactions and collaborations. However, in this interconnection, there is a huge obstacle: language. We can experience a lot of challenges in overcoming language barriers, such as misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and difficulties in expressing thoughts and ideas effectively. Language is inextricably linked with culture; therefore, when people from various cultural backgrounds converse, there’s a risk that they may experience misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and perplexity that may lead to conflict and unintended offense. This communication breakdown may threaten relationships, cooperation, and efficiency. Language barriers may additionally contribute to social isolation, preventing individuals from fully participating in community events, accessing services, or engaging in social contacts. This might heighten feelings of rejection and loneliness. Social support networks significantly influence Individuals' well-being and provide emotional, efficient, and informational help. However, language barriers can limit access to these support systems, making it hard for individuals to find help or assistance when required. Additionally, social isolation caused by language barriers can have serious psychological implications, such as loneliness, sadness, and low self-esteem. These psychological repercussions can exacerbate social isolation, resulting in a vicious cycle of alienation and marginalization.

To overcome this challenge, several strategies can be employed. First and foremost, the use of professional translators or interpreters can bridge the language gap, ensuring accurate communication. In situations where professional assistance may not be available, simplifying language and using visual aids or gestures can enhance understanding. Additionally, utilizing technology such as translation apps or language-learning tools can facilitate basic communication. Cultivating a patient and empathetic attitude towards language barriers is also essential, as it encourages active listening, clarification, and mutual respect. Finally, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where individuals are encouraged to learn and understand different languages can contribute to long-term solutions for overcoming language barriers in dilemmas. Addressing misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and challenges in successfully conveying thoughts and ideas due to language barriers necessitates a multidimensional strategy centered on effective communication, cultural awareness, and empathy.

Language training and education can also be a possible solution. Investing in language training and education programs can help people become more proficient in the prevalent language of a community or organization. Language lessons, language exchange programs, and online tools can all help people overcome language hurdles and communicate more successfully. Moreover, incorporating visual aids, actions, and other types of nonverbal communication can improve comprehension and clarity, especially when language obstacles exist. Using images, infographics, and body language can help you communicate difficult concepts and ideas effectively across language barriers. Creating language exchange programs in which people can learn and practice multiple languages in a positive and welcoming setting. These programs can bring together people from various linguistic origins, promoting mutual learning, cultural interaction, and social relationships. Lastly, we can gather volunteers who are fluent in many languages to provide linguistic support and help to newcomers or those experiencing language problems. These volunteers may provide translation services, accompany people to appointments or community events, and act as cultural cooperation.

The world is a precious land for all living things, but toxicity, jealousy, arrogance, and rotten minds lie in the darkest shadows which result in nasty and irresponsible doings done by humankind. Clashing cultures and traditions is a hard challenge for every one of us, as we are raised with different perspectives, thinking, and beliefs and even surrounded by completely different individuals. But remember that those things shaped us into who we are, they made us, us. By putting effort and action as well as mutual respect, understanding, raising boundaries, awareness, and inclusivity, the world may be able to provide sufficient appreciation for the diversity of cultures and languages in the world. To maintain the stability of the world, doing the said solutions may aid in acquiring balanced resilient communities to celebrate differences and the distinctive characteristics that shape the globe. You and I, and others all a part of this world, which is why we need to take a step and boast your confidence and voices to be heard. Make yourself stand out from others, don’t judge others as you don’t know their story. Focus on your story, and make your own narrative, you are both the protagonist and antagonist of your story, but don’t put those negative characters to others, by judging, disgusting them nor envy them. The carousel never stops turning, so don’t try to give up and get out of it, just ride along with it, but respect and be happy and grateful for others who are with you in the spinning horses.
